A08L Electric Wheelchair - For Users Up to 25 Stone (160kg)
The wheelchair is designed for those who weigh up to 25 stone (160kg). The wheelchair folds down to an amazing size making it much easier to be lifted in and out of the boot.
This powerchair is compatible with the Invacare Modulite seating systems, which offer support for the spine and comfort to the user. Twin batteries are available for a total of 27 miles.
A06L
Based on the well-loved A06 Freedom Chair, this model is heavy-duty and made to fit users who weigh up to 25 stone/160kg. The powerchair comes with two 300 watt motors which can take you to speeds of up to 4mph and have a the ability to travel up to 9 miles from one battery (a second battery can be added).
When not in use, it is light and compact. It is easy to move and to store. This makes it perfect for those who need to travel with their chair by plane, car, or cruise ship since it easily fits into the cabin. It also has airline approved lithium-ion batteries, as well as an adaptor cable to charge off-board.
The user controls the powerchair using a joystick that can be positioned to either armrest and can be adapted to be used by either left or right-handed users. The foot plate can be raised to allow for easy user transfer and the tyres have 12" all-terrain PU so it is able to conquer more challenging terrain.
A handy under-seat storage bag and fixed zippered pockets on the back of the seat provide plenty of space to store personal items. For added user safety, there are electromagnetic brakes as well as an adjustable lap belt.
The Freedom A06L is more compact and easy to maneuver than a mobility wheelchair and can be pushed into tight spaces, such as elevators or shopping centres. MyMobilityScooters can climb slopes of up to 8 percent. A kerb-climber can be an optional feature that allows you to drive over the ramp or step with no assistance. The chair also features a horn and removable seat and back cushions for easy cleaning. It also comes with the Captain's Seat that swivels with adjustable arm rests. The chair comes complete and ready to go, including all the necessary parts in the box. You can even pick the color of the shrouds with contours castors, wheel rims and castors inserts.

A08L is a larger version of our most popular A06 electric wheelchair. It comes with two main variations in terms of the size of the rear drive wheels and the strength of the motors that drive them. This more powerful configuration means that the powerchair is able to support a maximum weight of 25 stone (160kg). It also achieves a top speed of 6.5 km/h (4 mph). The tyres made of PU on this model are also larger which makes it better suited for more rough terrains. The control system uses electromagnetic braking, which makes it very easy to slow down and stop.
This model is not only extremely functional, but it is it is also extremely easy to use and fold. This makes it ideal for those who frequently travel using their electric wheelchairs since it can be quickly folded to the smallest dimensions and then rolled away using the backrest as an handle. The anti tip wheels make it easier to manoeuvre and the powerchair can easily fit into the boot of a car or in the baggage hold of public transport.
When it is open, the powerchair is large enough to hold a maximum weight of 25 stone. It includes a seat of 17" wide and 17" deep for comfort and stability. The powerchair has an array of interchangeable positions and support options that can be tailored to your individual requirements. All components are made out of durable materials and are made of high-quality materials.
Like our other models this powerchair can be used both outdoors and indoors. It is controlled by a joystick for easy movement. The front wheels are large with a diameter of 12.5 inches, whereas the rear wheels come with suspension to provide better ride comfort on less smooth surfaces. The TGA Whill is extremely compact when folded and is able to be easily lifted into lifts or trunks of cars.
The A08L is equipped with coil springs that reduce bumps and vibrations. It can cope with gradients of 10 degrees and has a very comfortable ride thanks to the large rubber tyres. This is one of our most advanced electric wheelchairs and it has it all.
One battery is included in this model however a second and third are available to extend the range up to 18 miles or 27 miles respectively. This is enough for most trips, and the powerchair may also be used overseas as it is designed to meet international regulations for carry-on luggage. There is a handy under-seat storage area for everything you own and the controls are adjustable to accommodate right or left-handed users. There is also a manual brake for emergencies and a seatbelt to ensure your safety.
